PHOENIX — Phoenix hospitality group Genuine Concepts announced that The Vig, an upscale neighborhood tavern, is opening its first East Valley location in Mesa.
The restaurant is set to open Monday and is located inside Village Square at Dana Park in the northwest corner of Val Vista Drive and Baseline Road.
“We’ve been looking forward to bringing The Vig to the East Valley for a long time, and we’re thrilled to finally open our doors in Mesa,” Co-founder Tucker Woodbury said.
“We’ve put a tremendous amount of thought and care into designing a space that reflects the spirit of this neighborhood, and we can’t wait to welcome our new neighbors to enjoy great food, drinks and good times with us.”
Details on The Vig opening in Mesa
The Mesa location was designed from the ground up and has a custom-built ranch house-inspired interior with signature Vig elements, such as a copper-topped bar and banquet seating.
Other features inside the restaurant include custom tilework, old west-style leather and stylish lighting.
The 2,500 square foot patio is surrounded by verdant Arizona landscaping and shaded by trellises so that guests are comfortable in the heat.
Chef Jeremy Panchero is the culinary director at The Vig Dana Park.
