ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The ROC Holiday Village hosted Three Kings Day on Sunday, celebrating a significant Christian holiday in Hispanic communities, particularly in Puerto Rico. The event was organized by the Puerto Rican Festival organizers.
Shalym Nader Vazquez, who portrayed one of the Three Kings, emphasized the importance of cultural celebration. “I think as Latinos it’s really good to still celebrate the culture,” said Vazquez. “And really pass the traditions onto the next generation so that it can continue through and understand their heritage.”
Attendees enjoyed live music and free arts and crafts at the family-friendly event.
