Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) Musical Sets Broadway Premiere
The romantic comedy, a hit in London, recently made its North American premiere at at A.R.T. starring Christiani Pitts and Sam Tutty.

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), the London hit that made its North American premiere at Harvard University’s American Repertory Theater in May, is heading to Broadway.
The two-person romantic musical comedy will play Broadway’s Longacre Theatre beginning November 1 prior to an official opening November 20.
A Bronx Tale The Musical‘s Christiani Pitts, also seen on Broadway in King Kong, and Sam Tutty, who won an Olivier for starring in the title role of the London production of Dear Evan Hansen, starred in the A.R.T. production, directed and choreographed by Tim Jackson. The duo will reprise their work on Broadway; Tutty was also seen in the London staging.

Written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) follows a naïve and impossibly upbeat Brit,
Dougal, who has just landed in New York for his estranged father’s
second wedding. When Robin, the sister of the bride, picks him up from
the airport, they embark on an serendipitous adventure through New York
City.
The musical previously played the Off-West End Kiln Theatre and
the West End’s Criterion Theatre.
In addition to direction and choreography by Jackson, the Broadway production will feature scenic and costume design
by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Jack Knowles, sound design by
Tony Gayle, music supervision by Nick Finlow, and orchestrations by Lux Pyramid. Casting is by C12 Casting’s Stephen Kopel.
A London cast album is available to on all major streaming platforms.
A Spotify Fans First presale begins August 12, providing first access to Broadway tickets for top fans of the Two Strangers cast album on Spotify. Listeners can check their email to see if they
qualify. Tickets will go on sale to the general public August 13 at 10
AM ET. In celebration of the musical’s Broadway premiere, all seats for eight select previews in the first two weeks of the Broadway run will be available for $88 or under;
purchases must be made by August 20 to receive the special promotional
price.
The musical is being produced on Broadway by Kevin McCollum, Tim
Johanson, Glass Half Full Productions, and Jamie Wilson Productions.
