EDMOND — The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce have announced a new partnership aimed at expanding educational access and workforce development for the city’s growing Hispanic community.
Through the collaboration, LX Studio at UCO will become the chamber’s exclusive education partner for micro-credential development, aligning UCO’s academic expertise with the evolving needs of local businesses. The initiative will create new learning pathways and career opportunities for Hispanic entrepreneurs and professionals.
“This partnership meets critical workforce demands while expanding opportunities for our Hispanic community to thrive,” said UCO President Todd G. Lamb.
The partnership builds on over a decade of joint efforts, including Latino Leadership OKC, the Business Fundamentals in Spanish series and the Women’s Business Center program. The Business Fundamentals series, funded by a state workforce grant, offers free, in-person workshops tailored to the Hispanic business community, with curriculum developed by UCO’s College of Business.
In recognition of their longstanding collaboration, the chamber awarded UCO the Padrinos Award at its annual luncheon.
