King Green is getting the ball rolling already in 2026.
The UFC announced Saturday that Green (33-17-1, 1 NC) is set to take on Daniel Zellhuber (15-3) at UFC Mexico on Feb. 28. When Green steps into the octagon, it will be his 29th appearance for the promotion.
Green, 14-12-1 (1 NC) in the UFC, is coming off of a split decision win over the debuting Lance Gibson Jr. That victory snapped a two-fight skid after Green was on the wrong end of the Knockout of the Year against Mauricio Ruffy and a first-round submission at the hands of Paddy Pimblett. His most recent wins include Gibson, Jim Miller, Grant Dawson, and Tony Ferguson.
Mexico’s Zellhuber made his UFC debut in 2022 after being signed off of Dana White’s Contender Series. The 26-year-old lost to Trey Ogden before stringing together consecutive wins over Lando Vannata, Christos Giagos, and Francisco Prado. However, his rise up the ranks has been halted by a two-fight skid.
UFC Mexico is headlined by a flyweight bout between former champion Brandon Moreno and Asu Almabayev. The event takes place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Feb. 28.
