HOUSTON — A global Italian food hall company that has become a favorite among foodies appears to be preparing to enter the Houston market for the first time, setting its sights on a Galleria-area retail plaza.
Eataly, which is known for operating large-scale food halls that incorporate restaurants, food and beverage counters, bakeries, retail items and food-preparation classes, has submitted paperwork to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outlining plans to bring the concept to the Centre at Post Oak.

The TDLR filing said the build-out is scheduled to begin in January and is expected to be completed by September of next year.
