Scouting RJ Harvey, UCF Knights football players in 2025 NFL Draft
RJ Harvey leaves UCF with the most touchdowns in program history. What will he bring to his NFL team? Also, who are other Knights to keep an eye on?
- UCF has acquired former Virginia Tech quarterback Davi Belfort, a redshirt freshman, from the transfer portal.
- Belfort, a dual-threat quarterback, replaces Dylan Rizk, who started the last four games of the 2024 season for UCF before transferring.
- The son of former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, Davi Belfort finished a strong high school career at Western High in Davie.
UCF replaced one former standout South Florida high school quarterback with another through the transfer portal Thursday.
The Knights landed the commitment of Virginia Tech transfer Davi Belfort, a former Under Armour Next All-America Game selection. The 5-foot-11, 196-pound redshirt freshman fills the vacancy created when Dylan Rizk, UCF’s starter for the final four games of the 2024 season, left the team April 9.
Born in São Paulo, Belfort reclassified from the 2025 graduating class but did not see the field for the Hokies last fall. The 20-year-old dual-threat was expected to be Virginia Tech’s third-string QB behind Kyron Drones and Pop Watson for the upcoming campaign.
In his senior year at Western High in Davie, Belfort completed 66.4% of his passes for 2,598 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He gained 487 yards on the ground with nine scores, finishing as Western’s second-leading rusher.
Belfort is the son of former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort. Known as “The Phenom” inside the octagon, the elder Belfort compiled a professional mixed martial arts record of 26-14 with one no contest, winning 18 times by knockout and three times via submission.
Adding Belfort gives Scott Frost and quarterbacks coach McKenzie Milton a prospect to develop for the future. As thing stand, the Knights do not have a scholarship quarterback rostered beyond the 2026 season; Tayven Jackson and Jacurri Brown have two years of eligibility apiece, and Cam Fancher enters his last.
Rizk, meanwhile, reportedly visited Florida Atlantic last Saturday and Western Kentucky on Wednesday. He is due to take a trip to Stanford this weekend, according to On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos.
