Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn are finally going to fight each other and things are already heated.
On April 26, the two second-generation boxers will square off in a 12-round middleweight matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to settle their long-standing feud. Eubank and Benn were originally set to face each other back in 2022, however the bout was cancelled after Benn tested positive for the banned substance clomifene just days before they were set to compete.
It took him nearly two years, but Benn ultimately cleared his name and got his suspension lifted, and now the two are once again set to lock horns. On Tuesday, things escalated quickly at their initial press conference. After some heated trash talk where Benn said Eubanks’s own father “don’t even like him” the two met for their first face-off where more words were exchanged, until Eubanks stopped all the talking by slapping Benn with an egg and kicking off a brawl.
Security intervened before things got too out of hand, but the tone for this rivalry matchup has now been set.
Eubank Jr. went on X to explain why he chose an egg.
