Atlético de Madrid have aimed a barbed dig at Real Madrid through their official channels, sarcastically congratulating their eternal rivals following Fede Valverde’s lightning-fast return.
Sarcasm over Real Madrid’s medical report
The red-and-white club posted a provocative message congratulating Real Madrid for “proving that 100% of the world’s medical community was wrong”. The club’s dig directly questions the validity of the diagnosis of the Uruguayan midfielder’s injury, which had been reported as a severe sprain following the Clásico between the two clubs.
Hashtags that set social media alight
The post included pointed hashtags such as #MiraculousRecovery, #MedicalReport and #Grade3Sprain. Atlético openly questioned the recovery time for an injury of such severity, fueling the media controversy between the two Madrid clubs.
