We are just three days until the NFL trade deadline. And as anyone knows, deadlines spur action. A few names have come up on the Raiders who could be moved in a trade. And even a few who trade targets who could be fits for the Raiders to acquire. But no current Raiders player’s name has come up more than Jakobi Meyers.
Meyers requested a trade this preseason after the Raiders chose not to give him an extension. He has played this season despite his trade request and recently reiterated that his request still stands. And a few teams could use his services. Two in particular have expressed the most interest according to Diana Russini of The Athletic.
The Raiders have fielded calls from the Steelers and Bills on WR Jakobi Meyers, but Las Vegas has set a high price. Pittsburgh is looking at other wide receiver options, too.
Meyers is still just 28 years of age and is coming off his best season. One in which he surpassed 1000 yards and didn’t have a single drop. Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh and Josh Allen in Buffalo would like to have that kind of dependability on their squads. And they don’t often come available.
The Raiders are likely looking for a mid-round pick for Meyers. Presumably that would be something no lower than a fifth round pick and perhaps as high as a third rounder if there were a pick swap involved.
The only pressure on the Raiders is if they want to get anything in return for Meyers in 2026 or just let him walk in the offseason with a potential comp pick in 2027.
