PHOENIX, Ore. –UPDATE 6/7 1:00 AM: The fire near Houston and Rose Streets in Phoenix is now contained. Crews remain on scene to strengthen the perimeter line and mop up hot spots to ensure the area remains secure.
ODF Southwest Oregon District has a dozer on site and is working to establish a dozer line around the fire perimeter to further secure the area. As a precaution, Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuation status will remain in effect for Phoenix Zones 12, 14, and 16 while containment efforts continue.
Act early if there is any reason you might need extra time. Leave right away if you feel you are in immediate danger. If conditions change quickly, this may be the only alert you receive.
ORGINIAL: Multiple units enroute to estimated 2-3 acres vegetation fire. There is currently a grass fire near the area of Dano Road in Phoenix.
Please allow emergency crews to work and give them space. There are no evacuations at this time.
