On the heels of a statement 1-1 international friendly draw against Brazil, the U.S. Men’s National Team heads into the CONMEBOL Copa America looking to put the world on notice.

Below, we dig into United States Copa America odds and preview some of the markets being offered for Team USA at DraftKings, BetMGM & more:

2024 Copa America United States Odds & Preview: Argentina Favored to repeat with USA as dark horse

FIFA world No. 1 Argentina has racked up the silverware of late. As the 2022 World Cup champions and defending Copa America winners, Lionel Messi and Argentina certainly appear poised to put on another top-tier performance. The odds-on favorites to hoist the Copa America trophy at +175, but the USMNT can’t be counted out.

Sitting at No. 11 in the FIFA World Rankings, the United States Men’s National Team enter Copa America determined to make a deep run. By snapping its 11-game losing streak against Brazil last week, the USMNT gained some much-needed confidence ahead of the tournament kickoff.

The U.S. sits at +1400 to win the CONMEBOL Copa America and depending on the sportsbook, near or equal to archrival Mexico.

Copa America picks for USMNT & more

If you comb through the top Copa America sportsbook apps including BetMGM, DraftKings and others, you will find plenty of options surrounding the United States.

Of course, there are odds to win Copa America but sportsbooks also include odds to win and qualify from Group C, individual player and team props and betting lines for each game.

Below are our favorite United States Copa America picks:

The United States is planted closely behind Uruguay (-145) when it comes to winning the group. These two don’t meet up until the third group stage game, so there’s plenty to play out beforehand.

The USA must beat Bolivia in their opening match Sunday (6 p.m. ET) and get another result from Panama (June 27, 6 p.m.) to give themselves a realistic shot at the group, but it’s entirely possible to cash this plus-money bet and it provides a rooting interest over multiple matches.

USA wunderkind Christian Pulisic is eager to show why he should have been called up for the 2023 Gold Cup.

The AC Milan midfielder made his presence felt in Serie A last year, finding the back of the net 12 times and tallying eight assists. Pulisic is the USMNT’s biggest threat in the scoring third, so expect him to be at – or near – the top of the list of the Yanks’ goal scoring leaders.

If you want to take a dark horse bet involving the United States’ most important player, he’s +4000 at DraftKings to lead the tournament in scoring.

Consider this among the many Copa America long shot picks you can make and while it’s not too likely, it’s certainly possible.

The USMNT did receive a 5-1 shellacking at the hands of Colombia ahead of the Copa America, their 1-1 draw against Brazil should inspire confidence in their performance in Group C.

Uruguay poises the largest looming challenge, the Yanks have fared well against La Celeste of late, posting draws in their last two meetings. Striker Luis Suarez will pose the biggest challenge, but with USMNT notching 11 saves against Brazil, the defense seems up for the challenge.

Due to confederation familiarity, the fixture against Panama is another one to watch – especially considering the USA’s loss to them in last year’s Gold Cup. They’re 5-3-2 against them in the last 10 meetings. This market can be found at DraftKings.
