ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An apartment building caught fire in southwest Atlanta Saturday, trapping people inside.
Firefighters arrived at 3041 Landrum Drive SW, the address for the Woodlands at Cascade apartment complex, around 6:30 p.m.
A fire on the first floor of the building had extended to the second floor and trapped three people on the balcony. All three people were rescued.
A man said he had seen two women trapped on the balcony and went to help them, when he became trapped as well.
A firefighter was treated for heat-related reasons.
