The Denver Broncos brought in four players for tryouts on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.

The Broncos hosted four pass rushers at their training facility: Mitchell Agude, KJ Henry, Kingsley Jonathan and Benton Whitley. Denver is already deep at outside linebacker, so barring an injury that we don’t know about, these players are likely being considered as potential options for down the road.

Agude (6-4, 262 pounds) finished his college career at Miami after stints at UCLA and a community college. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 2023 and later joined the practice squad of the Detroit Lions. He dressed for four games with the Lions last season, recording three tackles.

Henry (6-4, 255 pounds) entered the league as a fifth-round pick out of Clemson with the Washington Commanders in 2023. He has since spent time with four other NFL teams, most recently competing at training camp with the Cleveland Browns this summer. Henry has totaled 22 tackles, three quarterback hits and 2.5 sacks in 14 career games. He spent last season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad and received a ring after they won the Super Bowl.

Jonathan (6-4, 260 pounds) was the first overall pick in the 2022 CFL draft coming out of Clemson, but he opted to join the NFL as an undrafted free agent instead. He has spent time with four NFL teams, most recently competing at training camp with the New York Jets this summer. Jonathan has recorded 10 tackles and three QB hits in 20 games.

Whitley (6-4, 260 pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Holy Cross with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. He went on to spend time with four other teams. Through six games in the NFL, Whitley has one pass breakup and one fumble recovery on his resume.

Of note: Jonathan was born in Nigeria and Agude’s mother is Nigerian, so they could be eligible for an international designation if eventually signed to the practice squad.

Elsewhere on the NFL’s transaction wire, the team’s practice squad signing of running back Deuce Vaughn became official, and defensive lineman Kristian Williams cleared waivers after being cut from injured reserve with a settlement.

The Broncos now enter Week 2 with a full 53-man roster and 17-player practice squad. Denver will face the Indianapolis Colts on the road this weekend. Sunday’s showdown (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on CBS, and in-market fans can stream the game on FuboTV.
