Take that, Texas. Yelp just released its list of all-time Top 100 BBQ Restaurants in the U.S. Five Las Vegas spots made the rankings. Notably, all are Asian barbecue places, drawing on the traditions of Japan, K0rea and Hong Kong.
Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill, 3650 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite 26, known for its grill-your-own yakiniku meats with dipping sauces, leads the Vegas cohort at No. 14. Hobak Korean BBQ, 5908 W. Spring Mountain Road, Suite 101, comes courtesy of a South Korean restaurant group and lands at No. 27.
Two other Korean restaurants appear on the list: at No. 55, 8 Ounce Korean Steakhouse, 4545 Spring Mountain Road, Suite B105, which derives its name from the weight of its top cuts, and at No. 78, Master Kim’s Korean BBQ, 6825 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Suite 110, a sibling of the Master Kim’s in Chinatown Vegas and on South Durango Drive.
Win Kee HK BBQ & Noodle, 7960 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite 8000D, rounds out the Vegas contingent at No. 97, serving Hong Kong-style barbecue and other Cantonese dishes.
