The Eagles will deal with the combo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens after Adam Schefter reported that the Dallas Cowboys are expected to place the franchise tag on the wide receiver. A Pro Bowler and the Cowboys’ leader in receiving yards, Pickens could land the projected $28 million value of the one-year, fully guaranteed franchise tag.
The news comes after Dallas owner Jerry Jones told the team’s website that he wants to lock Pickens in for “a long time.”
The Cowboys can apply the franchise tag to Pickens anytime between February 17 and March 3 as a placeholder before negotiations to keep him in Dallas begin. Last season, caught 90 passes for 1,409 yards and nine touchdowns — all career-bests.
In two games against the Eagles, Pickens logged 12 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown on 22 targets as Philadelphia and Dallas split two games in 2025. For his part, Lamb logged 11 catches for 185 yards on 24 targets.
