WASHINGTON — The Super Bowl returns to the California Bay Area on Sunday, Feb. 8, as the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks face off for the country’s biggest sporting event.
Aside from the anticipated matchup, the game has a stacked entertainment lineup, including award-winning musical artists. Bad Bunny will perform at the halftime show, bringing his Puerto Rican flavor to the West Coast.
Despite the packed lineup, the NFL championship game tends to start on time for the most part.

There will also be an opening ceremony kicked off by Green Day. The trio, who formed in the East Bay subregion of the San Francisco Bay Area and are made up of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, are expected to perform a selection of their best-known anthems as part of the tribute.
Who is singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl?
The NFL announced in late November that Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Charlie Puth will be singing the national anthem ahead of the big game.
The multi-faceted artist is a singer, songwriter and producer who has more than 35 billion stream and multiple platinum singles. From “Attention” to “We Don’t Talk Anymore” to “See You Again,” Puth has established himself as a consistent hitmaker, the NFL said.
