DENVER (KDVR) — The Commerce City Police Department on Wednesday announced it has arrested two alleged burglars accused of “targeting and terrorizing” Latino-owned businesses across the Denver metro area.
The burglaries started in November 2025 and have continued through February this year, Commerce City police said in a press release.

Six burglaries happened in Commerce City alone, but police said the alleged burglars have made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from the businesses statewide.
“We hope our business community finds some relief in knowing that the individuals responsible for these high-dollar thefts have been taken into custody after an exhaustive investigation in conjunction with a number of other jurisdictions,” police said.
Detectives believe the burglars would use stolen vehicles to get to the businesses and either pry the doors open or ram them to get inside. The thieves stole safes, broke into ATMs, and even tampered with laundry machines to get the money inside them, police said.
Denver and Aurora police assisted in the arrest and recovered two guns.
