LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — A wild, high-speed pursuit stretched through multiple Southern California cities on Saturday night.
It started in South Los Angeles, where police spotted a car that had been reported stolen.
The woman behind the wheel during the chase drove recklessly, even onto sidewalks, trying to get around other drivers.
Los Angeles police tried using spike strips, but the chase went all the way to Long Beach.
After circling the area for a while, the driver got out of the vehicle and tried to make a run for it.
The woman ran into a backyard, where she was eventually taken down by an officer and taken into custody.
A female passenger also jumped out of the vehicle but was quickly taken into custody.
