The Midland RockHounds return to Momentum Bank Ballpark to host San Antonio in a six-game series this week.
The series between the RockHounds (7-2) and the Missions (3-6) begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Midland is coming off a 4-2 series win at Frisco as it won the last two games against the RoughRiders. Of the four wins, three of which came by a single run.
Third baseman Tommy White has led the RockHounds at the plate as he has driven in a team-high 10 runs thanks to his .375 batting average and team-high 15 hits. Oakland A’s top prospect Leo De Vries is batting .333 with 12 hits, three doubles, two home runs and four RBI.
On the mound, right-hander Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA, while fellow right-hander Corey Avant (0-0, 3.52) leads the team with 14 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings of work.
