Florida gymnastics advanced to the NCAA Championships in the Lone Star State for the 42nd time in its 44 year history. The Gators begin action Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
It all comes down to this for four teams at the NCAA women’s college gymnastics national championship in Fort Worth, Texas.
No. 2 LSU and No. 3 Florida advanced past the first semifinal over Georgia and Stanford, taking the first two spots in the national championship meet. The Gators came away with the highest score of the meet, posting a 197.7875 compared to the Tigers’ 197.4375.

In the second semifinal, No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 13 Minnesota finished first and second, respectively, over UCLA and Arkansas to advance to the national championship. Lacie Saltzmann’s 9.9625 score in the uneven bars helped secure the Gophers’ first ticket to the national championship with a second-place finish in the second session on Thursday.
