SIDE BY SIDE: HOW GENDER AND SEXUALITY INTERACT

The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center will host the Side by Side: How Gender and Sexuality Interact event where attendees can learn about how gender and sexuality identities impact personal experiences. This panel will explore how students’ experiences have been shaped by their queer identities.
INTERNATIONAL GUITAR RECITAL SERIES FEATURING GAELLE SOLAL

Location: Music Building, Recital Hall
Cost: Free
Award winning classical guitarist Gaëlle Solal from Marseille, France, is coming to Dekalb for the International Guitar Recital Series. Solal has received many awards throughout her career – including the first Grand Prix at the Michele Pittaluga International Classical Guitar Competition. a yearly music competition for classical guitarists held in Alessandria, Italy – and has performed in over 35 countries worldwide.

Cost: $13 for those with out a meal plan
The Latino Resource Center in collaboration with Campus Dining Services is hosting the Latino Dinner. Every semester the Latino Resource Center collaborates with Campus Dining Services for a Latino Dinner.
This event will feature foods from Haiti, Paraguay and Honduras. Music and games will be present as well. The dinner is $13 for those without a meal plan.

Location: NIU Convocation Center
Cost: Free
The Local Showcase is a free event where over 80 local businesses and organizations will show off live demos and interactive displays with concessions, snacks, giveaways and prizes.
Highlights of the event include a hands-on 3D printing station from the DeKalb Public Library, I-Pass Transponder Recycle & Swap station provided by DeKalb Township and a meet-and-greet with Bluey, Bingo and Pikachu.
This event is free for all ages with something for everyone.
