The Los Angeles Dodgers, to the shock of no one, are one of MLB’s top teams. After splitting a four-game set with the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers are 16-6.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles will start a new series with its division rivals, the San Francisco Giants.
Before that series begins, the Dodgers have received some good news on Blake Snell and his injury progress.

Per Dodgers reporter Katie Woo, “Blake Snell (shoulder) is scheduled to start a rehab assignment with Class A Ontario in San Jose on Wednesday, weather permitting.”
Blake Snell is one of those starters who won’t need to spend too much time in the minors before returning to the Dodgers rotation. Snell has not made his season debut with the Dodgers after turning in several heroic pitching efforts for Dave Roberts last October.
However, this is good news for Snell and the Dodgers, who could use some reinforcements in the rotation right now. Los Angeles doesn’t have a bad rotation by any means, but with arms like Roki Sasaki, Emmet Sheehan, and Justin Wrobleski seeing multiple starts in the early going of the season, the Dodgers pitching staff certainly will benefit from gaining Snell back.

Since signing a five-year, $137 million deal with the Dodgers before the 2025 season, Blake Snell has made 11 total starts with the club. In those 11 starts, he has a 2.35 ERA with 72 strikeouts in 62.1 innings pitched.
Snell made five starts in the playoffs with the Dodgers last year, and gave up two or less earned runs in three of those starts, while also pitching at least six innings.
When on, Snell is among baseball’s best southpaw starters and is also a dominant force in the postseason. Over 82.2 total playoff innings, Snellzilla has 102 strikeouts and has surrendered 30 earned runs, which is good for a 3.27 ERA.
Blake Snell’s Career

Blake Snell is a two-time Cy Young winner, (2018 with the Rays, 2023 with the Padres), who also holds 2 ERA titles (2018, 2023).
Over 222 starts in his career, Snell has an ERA of 3.15. He’s pitched with the Rays, Padres, San Francisco Giants, and now the Dodgers.
Perhaps his *worst season* came in 2019 with the Rays, where Snell was limited to 23 starts and posted an ERA above 4.00, but other than that, his dominance can’t be understated when on the bump.
