The CSP team on Thursday won two national awards in the 2026 Azbee Awards of Excellence competition. The Azbee Awards, presented by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), recognize the best work in business-to-business media.
The Azbees highlight editorial, online and design excellence within print media, email newsletters and digital publishing.
CSP’s editorial team won gold in the special issue or supplement in print category for its Category Management Handbook 2025. The issue, which runs annually in April, features Q&As with the Category Manager of the Year (CMOY) winners, as well as comprehensive category sales data in categories from tobacco to salty snacks to bottled water.
CSP also won a silver award for online event coverage for its coverage of the Outlook Leadership Conference 2025. The conference, hosted by CSP and its parent company Informa Connect, brings together C-Suite leaders in the convenience-store industry, expert speakers and supplier partners. CSP’s coverage included stories featuring some of the top CEOs in the industry from chains like Salt Lake City-based Maverik and podcasts with companies like York, Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s.
This year’s Outlook Leadership event takes place Aug. 4-6 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Click here for more information.
“I am so proud of our CSP team for earning two national Azbee Awards,” Abbey Lewis, vice president of content strategy for CSP, said. “These honors reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional journalism and innovative coverage that serves the convenience retail industry. Our team’s dedication to editorial excellence and deep industry expertise shines through in every story we tell. This recognition validates the hard work and passion our journalists bring to their craft every day.”
CSP also took home a Jesse H. Neal Award in April for best overall art direction/design for its August magazine cover story, titled “Rewiring the future of c-stores.” The cover was designed by CSP’s Senior Art Director Vicky Rodriguez.
In 2025, CSP won gold for its coverage of the 2024 Outlook Leadership Conference. It also earned silver for diversity, equity and inclusion coverage for its story on C-Store Women: Closing the Gap and a bronze Azbee for online microsite/special section for its 2024 Top 202 Convenience Stores list.
