“We opened just one transit around the sun ago, and Good God! what a year!” the post read. “Real food, strong drinks, late nights, and a room full of all of you, who made it a place worth showing up to.”
The bar added: “It’s last call at Nadine’s, y’all. The building has been sold, and May 31st will be our last night of service.”
Nadine’s opened in the Heights last May with a personality that felt intentionally hard to pin down — part neighborhood cocktail spot, part fever dream dinner party. At the time, the concept leaned heavily into playful presentation, bold interiors and what the owners described as an atmosphere built around “eccentric attitudes.”
The closing announcement struck a noticeably sentimental tone, with the business thanking both employees and customers who helped shape the space during its short run.
“We settled early on the tagline that ‘Love is real, and you’ll find it here,'” the post continued. “And that’s what we tried to bring to every plate we served and every cocktail we mixed: Love.”
The bar also encouraged customers to return before the final night of service.
“If you’ve been meaning to come in, now’s the time,” the post read. “If you haven’t been in a while, we’d love to see you again. What are you doing at home?”
