EUGENE, Ore. — The Utah State men’s track & field team scored eight team points to tie for 30th place at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on Wednesday and Friday.

Senior Logan Hammer finished runner-up in the men’s pole vault with a school-record clearance of 5.75 meters (18-10.25), collecting the Aggies’ eight points. The five-time All-American earned his best individual finish at the national championships and Utah State’s best individual finish since U.S. Olympian Mark Enyeart’s national title in the 800 yards in 1977.

Juniors Landon Bott and Walker Deede earned second-team All-American honors, with Bott placing 12th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:46.53 and Deede finishing 16th in the javelin with a throw of 69.60 meters (228-4).

The Aggie men wrapped up their 2026 campaign by earning the program’s top placement at the outdoor national championships since 2018, when the four-man contingent of Spencer Fehlberg, Sindri Gudmundsson, Clay Lambourne and Dillon Maggard tied for 18th place with 15 team points. Arkansas won the men’s team title with 56 team points.
