LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Jacie Ambrose of the University of Nebraska at Omaha earned multiple national honors and leadership recognitions at Future Business Leaders of America, Inc.’s (FBLA) Collegiate National Leadership Conference (NLC), held June 6–8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The conference brought together more than 1,300 students, educators, and volunteers representing nearly 200 colleges and universities across 29 states and territories for competition, professional development, and networking opportunities focused on business and leadership.

Ambrose attended the conference as the newly elected 2026–2027 Nebraska FBLA Collegiate President, marking her first national conference serving in the state’s highest collegiate leadership role. During the event, she represented Nebraska FBLA Collegiate, the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business Administration, and UNO FBLA Collegiate on stage during the conference’s opening session.

In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Ambrose earned FBLA Collegiate’s Gold Excellence Award, the highest individual recognition presented to collegiate members. She also led the Nebraska state association’s meeting and presented a workshop designed to help students and advisers successfully navigate the Excellence Award application process.

Ambrose also demonstrated her competitive skills on the national stage, placing fifth in Public Speaking and eighth in the Digital Design & Communications Case Competition.

“Representing Nebraska and UNO at the national level was an incredible honor,” Ambrose said. “The opportunity to connect with students from across the country, share ideas, and help others achieve success through FBLA made this experience especially meaningful.”

More than 1,300 attendees competed in 42 business-related events for scholarships and cash prizes totaling nearly $60,000. Participants also attended more than 60 educational workshops and connected with representatives from more than 20 colleges, universities, and employers, including the Alzheimer’s Association, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), FICO, Kendra Scott, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S. Coast Guard.

“This year’s National Leadership Conference showcased the incredible talent and dedication of our student members,” said FBLA President and CEO Jennifer Woods. “From analytical thinking to dynamic communication, they demonstrated the skills that will shape tomorrow’s workforce. These college students leave Las Vegas not only with well-earned recognition, but also with new connections, confidence, and a clearer path toward their future careers.”

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with more than 230,000 members in middle school, high school, and college chapters worldwide. FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
