First America Homes, a division of The Woodlands-based Signorelli Co., announced Thursday it has opened a new Austin division and expects to build homes in 12 communities stretching from the Austin area to the San Antonio region.
The expansion includes the builder’s first three Austin-area communities: Blue Sky in Lockhart, Okra Creek in Manor and The Ridge West in Kyle. Together, the projects mark First America Homes’ official entry into the Austin market.
“Central Texas continues to benefit from strong market fundamentals and sustained population growth,” Danny Signorelli, founder and CEO of The Signorelli Co., said in a statement. “That momentum creates tremendous opportunities for expansion as we bring more quality homes and exceptional living experiences to families across the region.”
Beyond Austin, the company also plans to expand its presence around San Antonio with nine additional communities in Bexar County and surrounding areas, bringing its Central Texas footprint to 12 developments.
“Entering the Austin market represents an important milestone in our growth strategy, further strengthening our presence across Texas and aligning with our commitment to serve customers in all four of the state’s major metropolitan markets,” First America Homes President John Winniford said in a statement.
The company did not provide a timeline for when model homes or home sales would begin.
