The viral Toñita’s hats, which honor María Antonia “Toñita” Cay and her Caribbean Social Club in New York City, are coming back. And this year’s edition is about paying homage to not just the past, but the present.

Last year Where’d U Get That Hat? and Cinco Jones collaborated with Puerto Rican artists, Hernán Ayala and Claudia Rubín, for the green and blue hats that were worn by celebrities like Bad Bunny and Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

In 2026, Where’d U Get That Hat? is teaming up with Secret Futebol Club for the 2026 Toñita’s Hat, which features twenty-two stars, each filled with the flag of a Latin American nation, something perfect for the current World Cup.

The purpose of this year’s collab is to celebrate “the breadth, diversity, and interconnectedness of Latin American identities” and to celebrate the people who visit the Club every week. Latin Americans. The flags make representation impossible to ignore, and they’re celebrating the people of Latin America while recognizing that representation is still an everyday fight for many people of our communities.

The hat also looks to showcase that Latin American history is filled with individual stories and cultures, but communities often share common experiences of migration, resilience, creativity, and belonging. Hats will be sold for $50 at Toñita Fest, the annual celebration for Toñita, and $55 afterwards on their official website here.

The festival will return for its 3rd annual block party on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The free street festival will run from 12 PM to 6 PM on Grand Street (between Driggs Ave and Roebling St) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, celebrating the 52nd anniversary of Toñita’s Caribbean Social Club.
