Captain D’s is expanding in Texas with a new restaurant in Corsicana, marking the seafood chain’s first location between the Dallas and Houston metro areas.
Founded in 1969, the Nashville-based fast-casual chain announced it opened its newest Texas restaurant Monday at 3920 W. State Highway 31. According to the company, the Corsicana location is its 19th restaurant in Texas and is intended to strengthen the brand’s presence along one of the state’s busiest travel corridors.
The 1,950-square-foot freestanding restaurant will seat 44 guests and features Captain D’s updated coastal-inspired design.
According to Captain D’s, the menu includes its signature wild-caught batter-dipped Alaskan fish, butterfly shrimp, hand-breaded chicken tenders, Nashville hot fish and grilled seafood options, along with the chain’s Southern-style side dishes.
The Corsicana restaurant is owned and operated by multi-unit franchisee Joseph Omobogie, whose portfolio also includes Golden Chick, Thai Express, Marco’s Pizza and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
“Joseph is a highly accomplished, growth-minded operator who understands how to scale successful restaurant concepts,” Brad Reed, Captain D’s chief development officer, said in a statement. “His expansion into Corsicana supports our broader Texas growth strategy and represents an important step in building brand connectivity between major metropolitan markets.”
With this latest expansion in Texas, Captain D’s now operates more than 530 restaurants across 23 states and three countries.
