A popular retailer known for its fall scents has temporarily closed one of its San Antonio stores. Some residents on the Far Westside expressed shock at the closure during their visit to the busy retail strip where the store is located.
The Bath & Body Works inside the Shops at Dove Creek remains closed as of Wednesday, August 12, according to Google and the company’s automated call-answering system. The store is at 415 W. Loop 1604 S. and is typically open six days a week.
Upon calling the location, a voice states that the spot is temporarily closed due to HVAC issues. According to the message, the retailer has been closed since at least Friday, July 23.
“Hope they took the candles out or they’ll melt with this heat,” San Antonio Facebook user Carmen Ramirez Trujillo wrote in a post.
“Sheesh, I think they’ve been closed going on a month already,” another wrote.
A company spokesperson apologized for the inconvenience in the automated message, stating that all Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) orders have been packed and that customers can pick them up at reopening.
“Any orders that have expired, we can honor prices paid for at the time of purchase,” the message continued. “Thank you for your understanding during this time.”
For now, folks can visit the nearby stores at Alamo Ranch, located at 5347 West Loop 1604, or Westover Marketplace, based at 8219 HWY 151 101.
