LAFC announced today that the club has acquired forward Thayllon Roberth on loan from Brazilian Série B side Avaí FC through June 2027 with an option to purchase. Thayllon will occupy an International Roster Slot and will be added to the roster as a U22 Initiative player pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.
“Thayllon is a dynamic young player who will add creativity, quality, and excitement to our attack,” said LAFC President of Soccer Operations John Thorrington. “His performances in Brazil have demonstrated both his ability to impact games now and the considerable potential he has to develop. We are excited that he has chosen LAFC despite significant competition for his signature, and we look forward to helping him continue his development as he contributes to our pursuit of trophies.”
Thayllon, 20, joins the Black & Gold from Avaí FC of Brazil’s second division, where he has established himself as one of the league’s promising young attacking players. In 2026, Thayllon made 24 appearances (22 starts) in Série B, tallying three goals and three assists across 1,782 minutes, and leads all U-23 players from Série A and Série B clubs in goal contributions across the 2026 Brazilian season. In total, the right winger has made 46 league appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists across two seasons with the club. In all competitions, Thayllon has made 71 appearances for Avaí, including two Copa do Brasil appearances, contributing 12 goals and 11 assists.
A native of Paço do Lumiar, Brazil, Thayllon began his career with Bahia de Feira and SKA Brasil’s youth teams before continuing his development with Avaí U-20. He made his senior debut for Avaí on February 15, 2025, in a Campeonato Catarinense match against Barra FC, and made his first Série B appearance on April 16, 2025, in a 1-0 win against Operário-PR.
