***MEDIA ALERT***GAF to Host ‘Latinos in Roofing’ Expo in Maryland to Support Contractors and Drive Business Growth Across the Region
WHAT:GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, will host the GAF Latinos in Roofing Northeast Summit & Expo in Hyattsville, Maryland, on Saturday, September 19, bringing together approximately 500 roofing contractors from across the region for a full day of education, networking, and industry engagement in one of the country’s largest hubs for roofer employment.
Hispanic and Latino professionals play a significant role throughout the U.S. roofing industry, making up roughly 25% of roofers nationwide. To support this significant force in roofing, the 2026 GAF Latinos in Roofing Northeast Summit & Expo will provide essential education on both technical and business topics, giving roofing contractors the tools to overcome operational challenges and mitigate barriers to their professional and financial success.The event will provide insightful sessions and workshops in both English and Spanish covering:
- Essential roofing and business topics, such as roofing finance, in-home selling, AI skills and lead generation.
- Hands-on demonstrations and insights from industry experts showcasing GAF roofing products and systems, along with their applications and installation techniques.
- Contractor discussions focused on the opportunities, challenges and trends shaping roofing businesses across the Northeast.
- Opportunities to connect with industry partners and resources designed to help contractors strengthen and grow their businesses.
- Networking with Latino roofing contractors, installers, business owners, GAF representatives and other industry professionals from across the region.
The GAF Latinos in Roofing Northeast Summit & Expo is part of GAF’s established commitment to workforce development in the greater Baltimore area. That commitment was most recently demonstrated in May 2026, when GAF brought a GAF Roofing Academy Mega Class to West Baltimore and trained 88 participants. The class was offered through the GAF Roofing Academy, the company’s tuition-free, hands-on training designed to help individuals build the skills needed to pursue careers in roofing. The program has trained more than 5,700 people nationally and placed over 3,200 into careers in roofing.
