Partizan have reportedly signed 29-year-old forward Robert Franks, a well-traveled scorer with NBA, G League, Australian, Israeli, Japanese, and Chinese experience.
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade have reportedly secured another reinforcement, reaching an agreement with American forward Robert Franks shortly after the official arrival of guard Antonio Reeves.
Meridian Sport first reported that the 29-year-old power forward was heading to Belgrade, while Mozzart Sport later reported that Franks has already signed with Partizan and is expected to arrive in the Serbian capital by the end of the week.
The 2.03-meter forward comes to Partizan following a brief spell with the Nanjing Monkey Kings in China. Franks joined the CBA club in September after spending the previous two seasons with the Ibaraki Robots in Japan.
Franks recorded four points and four rebounds over 17 minutes in his first official CBA appearance for Nanjing.
In 2025-26 with Ibaraki, Franks averaged 17.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists over 53 games, shooting 49.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range.
Robert Franks brings experience from NBA, Australia, Israel, and Japan
Franks went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft after four seasons at Washington State.
His professional career began in the NBA G League, where he played for the Greensboro Swarm and Stockton Kings before joining the Lakeland Magic and helping them win the 2021 NBA G League championship.
That run earned him an NBA opportunity with the Orlando Magic. Franks signed two consecutive 10-day contracts and ultimately appeared in seven NBA games during the 2020-21 season, averaging 6.1 points and 2.0 rebounds.
He then moved overseas and established himself as one of the better scoring forwards in Australia’s NBL.
Franks averaged 18.2 points and 8.8 rebounds for the Brisbane Bullets in 2021-22 while shooting 39.1% from three. The following season with the Adelaide 36ers, he produced 17.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
During the 2022-23 campaign, Franks also had his first experience in European basketball, joining Hapoel Gilboa Galil in Israel. Franks then moved to Japan.
