PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs and her running mate, former Mesa Mayor John Giles, kicked off the final leg of their Arizona First Tour, traveling across the state to hear directly from the Arizonans who keep it running.
The tour will take Hobbs and Giles to Mesa, Paradise Valley, Flagstaff, Bisbee, Tucson, South Phoenix, and other communities, where they will hear directly from Arizonans about the challenges they’re facing because of Washington’s cost-hiking agenda, highlight Hobbs’ work to lower costs and strengthen Arizona’s economy, and discuss what’s at stake in this election.
“A governor’s first and foremost duty is to the people of Arizona: to listen to them, represent them, and advocate for them,” said Katie Hobbs. “That’s why I’m spending the next two weeks on the road, speaking directly with working families, small business owners, and local leaders from all over our state. Unlike my opponent, I’ll always put the hardworking Arizonans who built this state ahead of Washington special interests.”
“Katie Hobbs has spent the last four years putting Arizona first, bringing people together, and delivering real results for working families,” said former Mesa Mayor John Giles. “As we travel across the state in these final days, we’re reminding Arizonans what’s at stake: a governor who puts Arizona first or Andy Biggs and his extreme Washington agenda. Katie has proven she’ll always put people ahead of politics, and that’s why I’m proud to stand alongside her.”
Over the next eleven days, Hobbs will travel over a thousand miles across Arizona, meeting with educators, small business owners, students, unions, volunteers, organizers, and working families in communities statewide. The Arizona First Tour reflects her continued commitment to showing up, listening to Arizonans’ concerns firsthand, and continuing to fight for lower costs and greater opportunity for every Arizona family.
