The Denver Broncos have finally managed to get toward the top of the AFC after last Sunday’s win against the Arizona Cardinals, now sitting at 5-2 on the season.
Denver won 30-16, finally reaching 30 points offensively for the first time since playing the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.

Broncos’ quarterback Bo Nix finally had an answer for the scrutiny he’s received this season regarding his struggles in the pocket and for anyone questioning his ankle, which was notoriously injured in the final snap of last season’s AFC Divisional round against the Buffalo Bills.
Nix found the red zone on a 62-yard rush late in the second quarter, went 15-29 passing for 222 yards and threw a touchdown to running back RJ Harvey.
After the backlash that the QB received following Week 6’s win against the Seattle Seahawks, where Nix threw for just 107 yards, this was a much-needed bounce-back game for the third-year QB.
Our hosts, Mike, Eric and Randy look at what went right for Denver and where the team could still improve — plus discuss some possible roster/playing time decisions that could happen as a result of some players stepping up.

Mike mentions some trade buzz with the deadline approaching, specifically looking at the rumors about the Indianapolis Colts’ standout RB Jonathan Taylor. However, the team’s owner, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, said that the team does not want to trade Taylor, as he’s an integral part of their future.
Indy did make two massive trades Monday, but it appears the RB is off the table in trade talks — but everyone has a price.
Eric and Randy give their takes on whether the Broncos should even consider trying to make the trade and debate whether Denver needs a star RB and if his price tag would be worth it.
Looking ahead to this Sunday’s matchup, the Broncos are hosting their divisional rival, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are coming off one of the most disappointing games in the Patrick Mahomes era, and the Broncos might be starting a surge, so this intra-divisional matchup may be the game of the week in the NFL.
Of course, the Chiefs had Denver’s number in the season-opener, where they emerged victorious 31-10.
Much has changed in Denver, though, with RB Jonah Coleman appearing to become one of the league’s elite, head coach Sean Payton taking on more play-calling responsibility, and Denver having more games to find their footing.
