W Las Vegas announced Thursday the reopening of Skyfall Rooftop Bar & Lounge, which occupies the hotel’s 64th-floor, and the debut of Living Room, a lobby lounge.
Design firm Rockwell Group created the interiors for both venues, the hotel said.
Skyfall’s new cocktail menu includes the Mojave Muse, made with butterfly pea flower, makrut lime and a violet-infused gin float; the Dirty Little Secret, a martini with olive brine and hand-stuffed blue cheese olives; and the Skyline Spritz, a Grey Goose vodka drink with strawberry-lychee cordial and lemon juice.
Living Room, next to the hotel’s arrival lobby, serves garden-inspired cocktails and mocktails, including drinks called Raspberry, Rose and Ube.
“Together, these concepts deliver a seamless day-to-night social destination,” said Zoey D’Arienzo, vice president of food and beverage for Mandalay Bay and W Las Vegas.
Skyfall is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Investment firm touts Morningstar 5-star ratings
Winans Investments, a Las Vegas investment manager, said in a news release that three of its asset allocation portfolios had earned five-star ratings from research firm Morningstar across three-, five- and 10-year periods simultaneously.
The firm said Morningstar lists more than 11,000 portfolios run by advisers as separately managed accounts, and only the top 10% receive five stars. Fewer than 335 earn five stars across all three periods at once, the firm said. It said it was the only investment firm based in Las Vegas to receive five-star Morningstar ratings.
“This is an achievement rare in the world of investment management,” said Ken Winans, the firm’s president and chief investment officer.
According to the release, Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley recognized the firm with a certificate that read in part, “The firm’s success also reinforces Las Vegas’ growing reputation as an emerging center of financial services, innovation and professional leadership.”

Las Vegas slot maker introduces sound-powered casino tech
Las Vegas-based gaming company Bluberi has launched a new casino technology designed to make wins harder to miss on crowded casino floors.
The system, called Beacon+ SoundWave, combines audio and synchronized LED lighting across banks of slot machines. Rather than relying just on visuals, the setup uses distinctive audio cues — called “Wintones” — to punctuate bonus events and jackpots, helping winning moments stand out against background casino noise.
Bluberi games such as “Devil’s Lock” and “Smokin’ Train” are on slot floors at Las Vegas casinos, including the Plaza downtown and resorts on the Strip.
The SoundWave system launches with three games — “Reign of the Panther,” “Ashes to Riches” and “Imperial Lock” — and will be compatible with all future core Bluberi games.
