Vidorra, the high-end Mexican restaurant born in Dallas, plans to open 10 locations in the next two years, including one in Nashville, Tenn.

The first restaurant, part of Milkshake Concepts, opened in Deep Ellum in 2018. Due to its success, two other locations of Vidorra opened next in Addison and Grand Prairie.

The next location is slated to open in Rockwall in the fall of 2024, followed by another one in Grapevine, according to a press release. By 2026, the brand wants ten restaurants, nine in the D-FW area and one in Nashville.

“While there is nothing novel about opening a restaurant in Texas that serves queso, fajitas, and margaritas, Vidorra was created to serve all of that and more in the most experiential way possible,” said Imran Sheikh, CEO and founder of Milkshake Concepts, in the release.

Vidorra translates in informal Spanish as “the good life,” an idea that the team uses to set the decoration and ambiance of the restaurants.

The brand is known for its upscale Mexican dishes, which range from queso fundido in a molcajete to street tacos or enchiladas.

“I’m eager for us to expand into new areas because our fans have embraced what we’re doing with such enthusiasm. That inspires me to want to share the Vidorra experience with even more communities,” said Sheikh.

In addition to food and drinks, Vidorra offers lively music from Latin DJs playing salsa, bachata and merengue Thursday through Saturday.

Milkshake Concepts operates eight brands: The Finch, Citizen, Vidorra, STIRR, Dirty Bones, Saaya, Harper’s Steakhouse, and Serious Pizza.
