BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – All across the state of Kentucky, the subject of medical marijuana growth and sales is intensifying.
This Monday, businesses could begin applying for the chance to grow and sell marijuana. However, not every county agrees on this issue.
Some counties have agreed to allowing growth and sales while others have not, and here in south-central Kentucky, some counties are leaving it in the hands of their residents. Butler County has put on their November ballot an option for residents to vote and decide for themselves if they would want to allow it.
Although this contentious topic draws many in favor or against, the vote could go either way as of right now. Butler County judge executive Tim Flener tells News 40 that no matter how the vote goes, he will follow the winning decision.
