Do you have that Independence Day spirit?

Besides the community-oriented 65th Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks showcase on Key Biscayne, there are several other ways to celebrate in town and around the Miami area.

Here is a sampling:

Key Biscayne: The Fourth of July BBQ at the Ritz-Carlton with internationally renowned pit master Jack Arnold takes place from 7:30-10:30 p.m. and features N.Y. strip steaks, BBQ ribs, grilled shrimp, burgers, hot dogs and more. This event also offers a front-row view of the fireworks presented by Key Biscayne. Tickets ($75 for kids under 13, $130 for those under 21 and $150 for adults) include a full buffet, unlimited non-boozy beverages, kids’ party favors and live music.

Bayfront Park: The annual celebration is held on the Downtown Miami waterfront. It begins at 4 p.m. with music, food trucks, a spacious kids’ play area, and live entertainment with the U.S. Navy Brass Band. The highlight is a spectacular 30-minute fireworks display at 9 p.m. This free event actually opens from 10 a.m. until midnight, featuring a Sam Adams Beer Garden, giveaways, and endless fun.

Coconut Grove: Peacock Park is the place to be to enjoy a live performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO). Pack your lawn chairs and coolers. This year, instead of fireworks, enjoy a spectacular drone show lighting up the night sky. The event is free and open to the public, starting from 7:30 p.m., and is within walking distance of other festive events in Coconut Grove.

Miami Beach: Celebrate at South Beach with the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival’s Independence Day Fireworks & Patriotic Concert. Head to Lummus Park on Ocean Drive for an unforgettable evening that kicks off with a symphonic concert at 8:30 p.m., featuring the MMF Symphony Orchestra and Alumni Division singers led by Michael Rossi. At 9 p.m., the spectacular fireworks show takes place over the beach along Ocean Drive between 5th and 15th Street. Watch from the sand or a rooftop bar. This free event is co-presented by The City of Miami Beach and the Ocean Drive Association.

North Miami Beach: Celebrate the Fourth of July at Miami Beach’s “Fire on the Fourth Festival” from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the North Shore Park Bandshell, 76th Street, and Collins Avenue. Enjoy food trucks, live music, yoga, and spectacular fireworks and drone show at 9 p.m. at the new location, Altos Del Mar Park beachfront and 76th Street. Arrive early with a blanket or chair for a good spot. Free shuttles and trolleys are available. Festivities start at 3 p.m. with a family zone, outdoor roller disco, and music performances.

Miami Lakes: From 6:30-9:30 p.m., join Miami Lakes residents at the Fourth of July Celebration event, featuring entertainment, food trucks, and the city’s grand fireworks display at 9 p.m. at Veterans Park. Admission and parking are free.

Bayside Marketplace: Experience the magic of fireworks from the water on a special Fourth of July cruise. Departing from Bayside Marketplace at 8 p.m., the cruise offers music, an onboard cash bar, and a front-row seat to the fireworks over Biscayne Bay at 9 p.m. Guests can also bring their own food.

Marlins baseball: How patriotic is this? The Boston Red Sox visit the Miami Marlins in a 1:10 p.m. game at LoanDepot Park on July 4 for the second Red, White & Brew game, presented by Budweiser. The ticket includes eight pours of select American beers, a free 4 oz. souvenir mug, and an entrance to the game. Expect some fireworks on the field.
