CLEVELAND — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is hosting its largest induction ceremony yet, with more than 70 performers, inductees and presenters.

This year, small businesses are sharing the spotlight with the city.

What You Need To Know

  • The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland is inducting the next class of influential music artists, including Cher, Ozzy Ozborne, Mary J Blige and others
  • This year, the Rock Hall Shop is featuring pieces from the Cleveland Clothing Co. to celebrate and showcase city culture and pride
  • Cleveland Clothing Co. workers said it is an exciting opportunity to connect with the community and highlight their unique collection

If you’re looking for a souvenir to commemorate this milestone, the Cleveland Clothing Co. has you covered, creating an official collaboration with the Rock Hall. It is the first time the induction ceremony is hosted in Cleveland since 2021, shining a spotlight on the city and its local businesses. At the Cleveland Clothing Company, Director of Purchasing Kayla Frisco and graphic designer Matthew Childers are leading the partnership.

“We did a fun glam rock guardian, that we worked with them on, but this is definitely the biggest, the biggest way that we worked with them,” Kayla Frisco said.

Childers said its an exciting opportunity for their small business.

“We really wanted this collaboration and to be selected, to be lucky enough to do the collaborative work and to do work for the crowned jewel of Cleveland … Pretty, pretty crazy,” Childers said.

Elizabeth Peschges, vice president of culture and strategy at the Rock Hall, said it’s important for the museum to integrate themselves into the community.

“Over 80% of our visitors are coming from out of town … That’s a huge opportunity for us to bring people in to really shine a light on Cleveland as a city,” she said.

They’re focused on connecting with people from inside the city and out of town, Peschges said.

“This has been our most popular induction ceremony design so far and lists all of the inductees this year, which is a huge win for all of our visitors, because folks really want to be able to represent being able to be here in this exact moment,” Peschges said.

Childers said the company is a community staple.

“I’m always seeing our logo plastered throughout the city,” he said. “I think the city feels a sense of pride and connection with our company because we’ve done a really good job of reaching out and trying to just do good for the city.”

The clothing brand is living out their logo of “spreading Cleveland pride, one T-shirt at a time,” Childers said, both at the museum and in their store.

Frisco said their team is ready for induction weekend and anything else that comes their way.

“You’re even able to tie in your, cheering on the Guardians, also, the induction ceremony,” she said. “All in one shirt here, with our glam rock guardian, which is a fun one.”
