Is training for months and months for a fight harder than acting? Well, Joe Rogan seems to believe so. However, Conor McGregor doesn’t. The former UFC double champion has clapped back at the 56-year-old’s comments on a live stream about his take on his filming endeavor, who claimed that it was a walk in the park for ‘The Notorious’. McGregor made his much-awaited debut in Tinseltown earlier this year by essaying the negative role in Jake Gyllenhaal starrer ‘Road House’.

“Acting in “Road House” or fight Khabib again? Shut the f*** up,” Joe Rogan claimed when Conor McGregor stated how tough acting was. The Irishman didn’t appreciate that comment as he deemed the longtime UFC commentator unqualified to make such assumptions.

Conor McGregor has been a professional fighter since 2008, just 4 years shy of two decades. Hence, he knows the difference between that and acting, and as such, he’s asked Joe Rogan to tone his opinion down a bit. “Hard work it was. You know, Joe Rogan spoke on it, ‘There’s no way it would be harder’… I have done them both [figting and acting]. So, I am the man to speak on this, not you,” said McGregor during a recent Kick stream.

Furthermore, Conor McGregor also revealed his rigorous routine during filming, where he performed some intense stunts, all on his own. ‘The Notorious’ claimed that actors don’t get that much of a break during shoots. “It was f***ing hard work, Joe. It’s the truth, brother. You’re talking long days, I’m getting thrown around the place, diving off speedboats, holding on to f***ing anchors, getting dragged through the water… You get about two-three hours rest then you’re back in again. So, it’s tough, man. I’m telling you,” added the 35-year-old.

On the flip side, fighting may be a dangerous endeavor because countless athletes have suffered serious injuries or have had life-altering experiences after summing up their fighting careers. But that comes easy to Conor McGregor.

“Fighting is like breathing” for the Irishman

Being the MMA superstar that he is, fighting is apparently what Conor McGregor is made of, or at least, that’s what he indicated in his recent statements. It comes naturally to him, but acting is a whole other ball game. The 35-year-old stated, “Fighting is like breathing to me. Fighting is like walking to me. So I just feel more comfortable in a fight than I did at that [acting].”

Moreover, Conor McGregor has been asked to act in movies many times in the past, but he rejected it all to focus more on his fighting career and other business. He even cited this as the reason he’s not working on the next installment of ‘Road House’. But it’s only after a decade he decided to sink his mind into this occupation because it worked perfectly with his timing since he was injured.

“It’s why I haven’t signed on the dotted lines for the second one… They have been trying to get me to do these things for years on years. I obviously had the injury and the timing worked out and the role itself and the movie itself, ‘Road House’, I took it. But, you know, reluctantly,” McGregor added.

This is not the first time Conor McGregor has called out Rogan for his assumptions. He once clapped back at the commentator for claiming that he was on banned substances during his 3-year hiatus following the UFC 264 loss.
