SALT LAKE CITY — Goldman Sachs today announced a $50,000 commitment to plant 100 trees in celebration of its 25th anniversary in Salt Lake City. The announcement was made at Rosewood Park, where all 100 trees will be planted, during Earth Month. Salt Lake City Mayor Mendenhall joined Goldman Sachs global head of the Office of Corporate Engagement and chair of the Urban Investment Group, Asahi Pompey, and head of the Salt Lake City office, Jill Borst. Nearly 400 Goldman Sachs employees will also participate in the tree planting across three days as part of the firm’s volunteering initiative, Community TeamWorks.
