The Big 12 Conference has a new television partner for the 2025 season, giving fans of teams in the conference another place to watch their favorite team throughout the season.
The new partner?
TNT.
The conference’s new media package for college football this season continues its partnership with long-time partners ESPN and FOX, but also adds TNT Sports, with the station set to televise some games starting this fall after an agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and ESPN last November.
The conference has already announced three games in the upcoming season that will air on TNT, with Arizona State and Arizona both getting an early-season matchup on the channel.
Big 12 games on TNT in 2025 college football season
Arizona’s game against Hawaii on Saturday, Aug. 30 will broadcast on TNT.
Arizona State’s game against Texas State at Saturday, Sept. 13 is also set to air on TNT.
Texas Tech will also host Kent State on the station on Saturday, Sept. 6.
The early-season TNT games were part of many games recently announced by the Big 12, with the remainder of the season’s television selections set to be announced on 12-day or six-day notice during the season.
Could ASU, Arizona end up on TNT multiple times in 2025?
Last season, many fans complained that so many football and men’s basketball games were only available on ESPN+, so having some games on TNT gives fans a chance to have some games not on a streaming-only platform.
But it appears that many games still might be only available on ESPN’s streaming platform this season, including Arizona State’s season opener vs Northern Arizona on Saturday, Aug. 30 and Arizona’s game against Weber State on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Sports Illustrated recently speculated that BYU could end up landing on TNT several times during the upcoming Big 12 season because most of its games are broadcast in the late-night window.
Could Arizona and Arizona State also potentially end up being on the conference’s new broadcast partner multiple times this season?
