“A-Town” lost “Air.”
Unfortunately, Canada’s Charles Jourdain has withdrawn from his scheduled Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight clash against Ricky Simon at UFC Atlanta this weekend (Sat., June 14, 2025) because of an injury.
The good news? The show goes on for Simon, who will now face knockout specialist Cameron Smotherman, stepping in on just three days’ notice.
UFC confirmed the last-minute switch in a press release today, while Jourdain shared news of his withdrawal on social media.

Simon (21-6) snapped his three-fight losing streak in emphatic fashion by brutally knocking out Javid Basharat at UFC Seattle earlier this year (watch highlights). Simon previously had lost to Vinicius Oliveira, Mario Bautista, and Song Yadong.
The 32-year-old is 9-5 inside the promotion.

Smotherman (12-5) lost his first UFC fight in his last outing, losing a unanimous decision to Serhiy Sidey at UFC Iowa. Before that, he sent Jake Hadley packing from the promotion, defeating him via unanimous decision on three days’ notice.
“The Baby-Faced Killer” will be looking for his first UFC finish.
