San Juan Ixtayopan, will become this August the epicenter of flavor, culture and roots with the Corn Cultural Week 2025. An event not to be missed for any lover of Mexican gastronomy.

From 📅📅August 9 to 17, this event will bring together more than 125 producers, cooks and artisans, who will offer a wide range of products made with corn that has been harvested in the 342 agricultural hectares that distinguish this community located in the municipality of Tláhuac.

Are you a true food lover? You can try different dishes made with the best of native corn: Tlacoyos, tamales, atole, pozol, esquites, tortillas, tacos, sopes, tlayudas, pancakes, cakes, flan and everything you could never have imagined that can be achieved with this mythical star ingredient.

How to get to the Maize Cultural Week 2025?

The event will take place in the center of San Juan Ixtayopan, Tláhuac, an original town expert in the use of corn as a gastronomic ingredient.

📍📍Avenida del Maestro S/N, Barrio La Asunción, San Juan Ixtayopan, Alcaldía Tláhuac, CDMX, CP. 13530

San Juan Ixtayopan is one of the seven original towns in the municipality of Tláhuac, very close to the shore of the ancient Lake Chalco. This original town began as an ancient agricultural village around 1200 BC and was later a Xochimilca settlement.

Today it is an area that has trees that were planted in 1531 according to the natives and is famous for its rich traditional gastronomy.
