After their offense diminished in the first game of the series on Friday night, the Tigers roared back in a big way on a Saturday afternoon. The team jumped out in front, and used a big fourth inning to give themselves some breathing room. Detroit’s offense was so consistent during the game that it managed to score runs in seven of the eight innings the team went to the plate, pulling away with a 10-5 win.

Riley Greene and Zach McKinstry led the Tigers with three hits apiece, both hitting home runs in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively. Kerry Carpenter and Gleyber Torres both went yard in the convincing victory.
Heading into Sunday night, the Tigers are atop the American League Central, 10.5 games up on the Cleveland Guardians. The Twins still sit in third, 11.5 back of Detroit.
