The young entrepreneurs behind a new Jersey Shore favorite revealed the secret behind their incredible success, turning $3 hot dogs into a business making annual profits of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The business-savvy duo Matt D’Arcy and Keith Stedronsky founded the seasonal ‘Dogs Outs’ hot dog stand on the Jersey Shore when they were just 16 years old. Now 19, their hard work has been rewarded with a thriving business. Their incredible success have earned them national fame, as well as a very healthy profit.

“We were both bus boys at local restaurants. It was going well, but it wasn’t really what we wanted to do, so we explored different options to try to make a couple bucks on the side, and we eventually figured out,” D’Arcy said on Fox News recently.

But it wasn’t without complications. After looking into permit restrictions and zoning rules, they discovered that they would need to work within an existing business to avoid being swamped in paperwork. Speaking on the show, D’Arcy revealed how they found their home.

“We eventually went to the Osprey in Manasquan, New Jersey. It’s a bar and club that brings in a thousand people a night, and we asked them to pitch our idea to them, and they loved us, and they gave us this opportunity, and it’s been smooth rolling ever since,” he explained.

“We give them a small percentage of our sales,” Stedronsky said. “On a good Friday night, we could sell like 400 hot dogs.”

They have managed to grow the business into a real favorite on the Jersey Shore, expanding into new areas. They sell merchandise from the same site, with t-shirts starting at $20 with a free hot dog included in the price.

So what’s next for the dynamic duo? Well, they are not planning to stay in the hot dog industry once they have completed their studies. But after they graduate both D’Arcy and Stedonsky plan to hand the business down to their younger brothers, allowing them to move onto their next venture.
