Top-ranked Ferris State Football showed no mercy Saturday, routing Wayne State (MI) 59-0 to stay unbeaten atop the FloCollege Division II Football Rankings. The Bulldogs (7-0) controlled every phase and extended their season scoring margin past 200 points.
No. 2 Harding remained sharp in a 35-7 win over Southeastern Oklahoma on Thursday, while No. 3 Kutztown rolled Lock Haven 34-7 to stay undefeated. West Florida (No. 4) kept pace with a 40-10 victory against Chowan, and No. 5 Western Colorado dominated Black Hills State 56-17.
The top half of the poll largely held firm, but several ranked teams stumbled. No. 6 UT Permian Basin fell 27-14 to No. 13 Central Washington in a key Lone Star matchup, and No. 11 Angelo State dropped a 24-19 decision at Texas A&M–Kingsville. No. 7 Minnesota Duluth was upset 34-31 by Northern State, while No. 19 Lenoir–Rhyne lost 35-28 to Anderson (SC).
Among the day’s statement wins, No. 12 CSU Pueblo crushed Fort Lewis 49-13, No. 8 Minnesota State topped Winona State 47-21, and No. 15 Pittsburg State downed Washburn 34-10.
Ferris State and Harding continue to anchor a volatile Division II landscape as conference races tighten heading into mid-October.
