Megan Thee Stallion settled the biggest foodie dispute in Texas, crowning San Antonio and Austin with the state’s best Tex-Mex in a Tuesday video.
The hip hop star has the credentials to weigh in on this topic with connections to multiple cities across the state. She was born in the Alamo City as Megan Jovon Ruth Pete but grew up in Houston’s South Park neighborhood.
“Out of Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio…we’ve got the best food, but Austin and San Antonio might have the best Tex-Mex,” she said in the video, referring to Houston as “we.”
Houston is known for its diverse range of cultural dining and has five restaurants with a Michelin star. Austin has the most Michelin-starred restaurants, with seven spots earning the title, while San Antonio has three.
Most of the commentators were in agreement with the “Savage” singer.
“San Antonio has the best Mexican food and Houston clears everything else,” one person wrote.
